Bacha na Mozarta! is a unique subscription series dedicated to early music in Moravia, founded in 2013. This series brings a distinctive program to Brno, focusing on the great oratorio and cantata works from earlier periods. With an unconventional approach to selection, it offers titles that complement the programs presented by philharmonics and theaters.
The series primarily emphasizes authentic performances of works from the Renaissance, Baroque, and Classical periods, utilizing period instruments and fostering collaborations with soloists and artists from across Europe who are at the forefront of the field. As a result, Bacha na Mozart! offers a repertoire that is not available anywhere else in Brno.
Additionally, each concert is enhanced by an accompanying program that introduces the audience to the historical context of the music in an engaging manner. The audience is invited to discover the secrets of music through the works of two giants, Johann Sebastian Bach and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
